High Power Technical Services, the Regional Service Provider for DISH Network in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio for the past 20 years is currently accepting applications for our Service Technician training program.

While other service industries require lengthy apprenticeship programs or a 2 year certification from a technical college, High Power Technical Service's Service Technician training program prepares you for a great career as a satellite technician in only 90 days. While other programs force you to pay for the training you receive, you earn $600.00 per week while training with HPTS.

As a HPTS Service Technician, you will enjoy:

Here is how it works.

Step 1; meet the minimum requirements for the position:

• 21 years of age or older (for commercial insurance purposes)
• possess a valid driver's license
• clean criminal history
• clean driving record with no DUI's, license suspensions, reckless driving, excessive speeding tickets, etc.
• pass a pre-employment drug screen
• have some experience working with basic hand tools
• able to meet the physical requirements of the position, climb ladders, access crawl spaces and attics, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, squat, kneel, bend, crawl, and stand for long periods as needed.
• enjoy working in an outdoor environment (we work in heat, cold, snow, rain, storms, and other types of inclement weather!)
• be comfortable working one on one with customers! In addition to service and installation, we present products and services to the customer so you must be willing to sell!
• be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Step 2; qualify for our training program by successfully completing our pre-employment familiarization course.

This 9 hour course is provided free of charge to our trainee candidates and is designed to familiarize you with our business while assessing your suitability for our program. This online program is designed for convenience, allowing you to complete it at a reasonable pace in the comfort of your own home.

Step 3, successfully complete our training program. You earn $ 15.00 per hour to train!

Our training program consists of the following components:

• 16 hours of orientation, conducted at our Louisville, KY Corporate office
• 8 - 24 hours of familiarization training, completed at your home office / warehouse
• 160 to 240 hours of on-the-job field training with a senior technician / trainer, home territory
• 24 hours of classroom / hands on training, conducted at our Louisville, KY Corporate office

Final Step, complete our 160 - 180 hour technician probationary period. You earn a minimum of $15.75 as a new tech.

This probationary period is designed to build on the basic skills learned in the training program while providing the new technician with a controlled environment in which to acclimate to their new position. Technicians will have access to additional managerial support and managed work loads during this period.
