Description

High Power Fiber, LLC is currently accepting applications for travel Fiber Optic Technicians to complete fiber projects in the New Hampshire and upper Northeastern territory of the United States.Typical out-of-state projects last 4 to 6 weeks which will require fiber techs to remain out of market for the duration of the project. 

High Power Fiber Technicians are responsible for:

  • Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables and equipment.
  • Configure customer equipment (ONTs, routers, Wi-Fi systems).
  • Perform underground and aerial cable installation as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation of installations, materials used, and customer interactions.
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Completing customer system education
  • Adherence to all safety and company protocols.

Minimum requirements for the position:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Previous fiber installation/repair or other telecom-related experience highly preferred. 
  • Possess a valid driver's license or passport approved for air travel [Real ID, air travel may be required as needed]
  • Ability to travel via air. Techs must be willing and able to travel by air to and/or from the project state. 
  • Ability to work out-of-state for extended periods of time. Techs are typically out of market for 4 to 6 weeks before returning home 
  • Clean criminal history
  • Clean driving record with no DUI's, license suspensions, reckless driving, excessive speeding tickets, etc.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Have some experience working with basic hand tools
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, climb ladders, access crawl spaces, and attics, lift and carry up to 100 pounds, squat, kneel, bend, crawl, and stand for long periods as needed.
  • Enjoy working in an outdoor environment (we work in heat, cold, snow, rain, storms, and other types of inclement weather!)
  • Be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
